TIME' Those were the words coming from my two brothers!
While growing up in Buffalo, New York, my brothers, Sam Lovullo*, producer
of the TV show "Hee Haw" and Joe Lovullo, a real estate developer, and I
spent many hours entertaining ourselves and anyone we could get to listen
to our rendition of an old-fashioned "Radio Hour"...These programs came
complete with scripts written by Joe. They would sing, whistle and tell
jokes and of course, accompaniment by me. My introduction to recorded performances
came when Joe saved up to buy a wire reel to reel recorder. We wanted to
be remembered, but none of us can now remember where we put them.
In "It's Accordion Time ", brings back some of these wonderful memories
my brothers and I created in our growing up years. Most of the songs played
in mis CD wwv played on our "Radio Hour". With the use of multiple recording,
all parts are recorded by Tony using a Petosa Millennium Reedless Accordion
and AM 1100 Acoustic Accordion.
* I changed my last name to Lovello while on tour with Eddie Cantor In 1947.
